during the course of the year. We are located in Lanark Village which is about 45 miles
SW of Tallahassee,FL. I have been fishing this area for close to ten years on vacation
and my wife and I have chosen this area to retire to within the next few years. From late
May through mid July tarpon are stacked up and there is no better time or place for
sight-casting or drift fishing for these fish.
As you have been accustomed to with New River Charter all tackle and bait will be
provided whether it be fly or conventional as well as lunch, drinks and snacks. For now
you will need a FL fishing license until I have relocated and have a boat license to cover
A normal fishing day will consist of fishing different areas at different tides. Tarpon will
be site fishing on anchor as they come by, red fish can be fishing docks, flats or
cruising shallow water around the islands looking for bulls and the trout fishing we
usually drift grass flats throwing top waters or popping corks with Gulp shrimp, etc.
Spanish Mackarel are encountered frequently and if water conditions are flat enough
we can run offshore a few miles for Grouper, Snapper, AJ's, Kings, etc.
This is an incredible fishery with gorgeous waters that I am excited to share with you.
